Ben dropped by to pick up some Road Rider wheels for his sweet new Index Zip Zinger, and needless to say the grip job was so damn awesome that I just had to post it. Who doesn’t think dinosaurs rule!?

Good times at the Lakeland park…
Yesterday we hit 500 followers on twitter! We decided to celebrate by giving away a free deck to the 1st person to walk in and say “I’m 500!” Pete was in the right place, at the right time, and said the right thing!
If you wanna be the next lucky person to win something on your next visit, hit up the twitter!
I should be studying for an exam tomorrow. Instead, I am sidetracked by these rad clips that Barret Huie filmed at Lewisville Skatepark.
Clip one has team riders Anthony Padilla and Holland Austin.
Clip two has our homies Joel Adams, Steven Adams, Demarquis Mcdaniels, and team rider Mack Dafoe.
Barret, I’m blaming you if I do poor on my exam tomorrow…….just kidding
GOOD JOB BARRET HUIE!!!!
Say hello to one of our newest employees… P.J. Medrano.
P.J. is a rad guy with an awesome sense of humor. Not only is he a smooth guy on a skateboard, he also has some sick camera skills. That’s right, he can film! There’s a local homie video floating around that he made. It is such a novelty piece that he doesn’t even have a copy. I know he gave the Hurst store a copy so give Harrison a nudge to put on P.J.’s video! Alright, back to P.J.
You’ll mostly catch P.J. in Dallas so say what’s up next time you see him. Everybody at Index is glad to have P.J. a part of the family.
Let’s get to know him a little bit…
1. Ever since you moved to Dallas from Arlington, what do you like best about it?
PJ : Of course, the public transportation, and the taco stands!
2. What’s your favorite trick?
PJ : I like b/s feeble grinds or switch front shuvs
3. How many days of the week do you eat Ramen Noodles?
PJ : uhhh…. I would say about five days a week and twice a day hah
4. If someone was to hack into your i-pod, what bands would you like them to see?
PJ : UGK, James Brown, and Joy Division
Alright, short and sweet.
Now enjoy this clip of P.J. Medrano!!!
I thought this was a legit Santa Cruz Rob Roskopp product when Jesus showed me! But he actually bought a Munny from kidrobot and made it himself. I give Jeezy a million high fives for painting this thing! I wish I could buy one of these…or I could just figure out some elaborate way to blackmail him for it!
hmmmmmm…
Texas has some gnarly weather. Check out this pre-work hours snow!
I know it’s hard to skate in this wild Texas snow. Instead, turn that frown upside down and make the best of it like these people did!
Snowman number one comes from a good man named John Carroll. Fresh tee, fresh board, fresh snowman…
Snowman number number two comes from my brother Richard. He may not have an index board for his snowman, but he does have some pretty fresh gear himself. I see an Altamont jacket, Matix tee, and some Addidas shoes. Where’s the snowsuit & mits?
Snowman number three comes from Stefan Lanemann. Bottled arms and a mohawk… these snow dudes are getting wild
As night falls, snowmen don’t play around. Happy by day, crazy by night. Jonathan Smith’s snowman seems to be following the footsteps of Jack Frost.
I noticed a lot of profile pictures change this week on social networking sites. A buddy of mine informed me that it was doppelganger week. The week is almost over so I decided to kickoff the weekend by doing my own doppelgangers for some employees.
For those that don’t know this term, from wikipedia, the word “doppelganger” (in German) refers to any double or look-alike of a person.
Jonathan is…
They even skate with a pointy INDEX finger!
Harrison
Theotis Beasley
Harry Beasley or Theotis Boyland?
Jesus…
If you know him, then you know him. I’m not going to spoil anything….
Petrie, Petrow, or David…
..is himself! I thought his pics were rad, so enjoy!
Last but not least, me…
of course, Don “the Nuge” Nguyen
I was siked to find this! It’s Daniel Shimizu as Danzig!
